BPSC LDC Exam 2022: BPSC to conduct lower division clerk exam today; key points candidates need to know
BPSC LDC Exam 2022: BPSC is going to conduct the LDC exam today (26 February) from 12:00 PM to 02:15 PM. The exam will be held in the centers of Patna, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Saran, Nalanda, and Bhojpur.
Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is all set to conduct the examination for Lower Division Clerk (LDC) today (February 26). The exam will be held from 12:00 PM to 02:15 PM and the question paper will consist of 50 questions in general studies, 50 questions in general science and maths, and 50 questions for the mental ability test.
The questions will be both objective type and multiple-choice, and students will get four marks for each correct answer. Apart from this, there is also negative marking in the exam, where one mark will be deducted for every mistake.
Exam Centers
The admit card for the exam was released on February 19, and the paper will take place at the centers of Patna, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Saran, Nalanda, and Bhojpur. Earlier, the commission had scheduled the exam for February 27, but the exam was postponed.
Books allowed in Examination Hall
Since the preliminary exam will be conducted with one book, students will be allowed to carry three books to the examination hall. According to the commission’s Joint Secretary cum Controller of Examinations Amarendra Kumar, students can carry a maximum of three books. It is allowed to carry one book each for General Knowledge, Mathematics, and General Science in the examination hall.
It is to be noted that only NCERT, BSEB, ICSE books are allowed in the examination hall. Apart from this, no book or other papers, equipment, etc. will be allowed inside the examination hall.

As per the notification shared by BPSC, there are 24 vacancies of Lower Division Clerk on the pay scale of Rs 19,900-63,200 (Level 2). On the other hand, in terms of marks, a total of 61 thousand students have applied for this post and the examination will be held at 117 examination centers.
BPSC will shortlist the candidates on the basis of two written examinations: Preliminary and Main Recruitment Examination. Candidates clearing both the exams will be called for a computer skill test.
